Cleansing Oil // Tamanu + Wild Citrus

A beautifying, skin loving blend of botanical infused carrier oils and restoring organic essential oils. The Cleansing oil will remove make-up and deep cleanse your pores, all while being safe and effective for all skin types.

How to use

1) With dry hands and dry face....why you ask?? As water and oil don't mix, you'll get the best deep cleanse when keeping water out of the picture. The cleansing oil will also remove make-up, so you don't need to use one before hand :)  Use about a quarter size amount of cleansing oil and massage onto your skin, focusing longer on any problem zones. I suggest anywhere from 30-60 seconds.

2) Once your done cleansing your face, your going to want take a face cloth and warm it up under your tap, using warm to hot water...nothing to hot that its going to burn your skin! Wring out the excess of the water, so your left with a heated up cloth.  Lay the cloth over your face again from anywhere 10-60 really all depends on how much time you have and how much of a deep cleanse you want. The longer you steam your face with the cloth the deeper cleanse you will get as it will break down more oil in your pores.  I personally leave my cloth on for about 20 seconds.

3) Once you have left your nice warm face cloth on your skin for your chosen time of relaxation.....just take the cloth and gently in circular motions wipe off the oil.  Warm the face cloth again and repeat the removal process.

***** You MUST remove the oil cleanser with a face cloth!!! just rinsing it with water will not remove it properly :)

Why its good for all skin types

Cleansing oil's are one of the only forms of cleansers that are safe and effective for all skin types.  It will cleanse and help to re-balance your skin, while keeping it hydrated.  It's never going to strip your skin or damage your moisture levels.

Dry/Sensitive skin - It will gently remove your make up and any oils without being aggressive on your skin, It's not going to dry you out and it will help hydrate and heal any flaky patches as you cleanse.

Oily/Combination - The cleansing oil will help to break down any sebum build up in your pores.  Without stripping your skin, which means it will keep your natural sebum (oil) production balanced.

What Oils Do I Use and Why

Safflower Oil (comedogenic rating 0) - Rich in linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid that offers many benefits for skin, including maintenance of the cell membrane integrity. Linoleic acid is also an important carrier of Vitamins A, D, K and especially Vitamin E. It offers powerful cleansing properties. Linoleic acid reduces the risk of clogged pores that can lead to blackheads and acne breakouts.

Castor Oil  (comedogenic rating 1) - Acts as a barrier agent and protective medium against harsh conditions, combined with anti-inflammatory properties it will help cleanse and moisturize the skin

Sweet Almond Oil (comedogenic rating 2) - Contains fatty acids as well as Vitamins A and E. It helps to alleviate dry skin and sooth inflammation.

Tamanu Oil (comedogenic rating 2)  - A remarkable topical healing agent with skin healing, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibiotic and antioxidant properties. It has been highly researched in the ability to heal damaged skin.

*What is the comedogenic rating? Every oil has a rating of how likely it will clog your pores. It goes from 0 (highly unlikely) to 5 (very Likely) I never use any oil above a 2.
